Spotted on my brewery travels this past weekend in Grand Rapids, MI is a powerful late model Polycom IP Phone. Notice the single cable going to the wall mounted phone providing LAN connection as well as Power to the phone, negating the need for an AC Power Adapter going to this phone….one of the cool things about IP telephony!
Now for the beer! It’s Awesome! My favorite is the Centennial IPA….but everything is worth trying. The hot pretzels, pretzel rods/cheddar cheese and in shell peanuts I tasted, are highly recommended. I also recommend checking out the gift shop.
I remember going to Founders brewery back in 1999-2002 (When I lived in GR) when they were a small brewery North of downtown GR on Monroe Avenue in the Brass Works Building. It was a very comfortable small cozy brewery that was opened in 1997. My older friends took me there to introduce me to Microbrews, years before they became all the rage across the USA. Now like the brew craze itself, Founders has moved into new digs which has been expanded multiple times. Phone wise, they used to have awesome Nortel phones, but must have outgrown that system and went to the Polycom IP sets. I wonder why they didn’t upgrade to awesome Nortel IP phones?
I highly recommend trying every beer they have! By far one of my favorite large microbreweries!
