Today’s phone is a simple analog red phone at the customer service desk of a very famous United States retailer. The telephones are more for show than they are for functionality as most in-store communications are handled via walkie-talkies. Quite honestly I am surprised to see a phone even on the desk, and even more surprised there was one telephone at each of the three point of sale terminals.
Like everything else in the store the phone is in a red color. The main phone system at the store is a Cisco IP based phone system with many analog extension ports supporting these low use telephones throughout the store.
