My favorite retailer Meijer used to install these ROLM digital telephones in their stores in the early to mid 1990s. These phones looked super futuristic in 1994 when they were installed at the service desk of the new very modern Indiana Meijer stores. The 9225 was the service desk phone while the 9208 was used at the pizza and food service areas. The paging was super clear and the phones rang with a super futuristic ring tone. Meijer stopped using these in the late 1990s and went back to Lucent Avaya.
I believe these were actually Siemens phones wrapped in a ROLM body as Siemens bought ROLM in 1989.
