I spotted these various Nortel M2008 phones on the sales floor of the luxurious Saks flagship in New York City.
The newer Saks stores are using Avaya IP phones, but this location seems to be alive and well with Nortel sets, presumably running on a CS1000.
Notice the Saks text on the display of the last phone pic. One of the point of sale locations has two phones next to each other, probably for high call volume.
During the Mid 1990s to mid 2000s, Saks and many of its Saks Luxury and Northern Department and Southern Department store division used Nortel Meridian 1 PBX switches. Prior to the Acquisition by Proffits, Saks used NEC PBX systems in their stores such as the location on Michigan Ave. in Chicago. Whenever remodels are completed in these stores, the older phones are switched out to Avaya IP phones.
I was very happy to see a Nortel system still functioning quite well.
