My wife Gina and I discovered this cool old phone at the Banff Canada Cave and Basin Musem near the Banff city center. The old Northern Electric logo is clearly visible underneath the rotary dial. This phone appears to have some type of switchook on the top of the unit. It also contains one bell ringer on the top of the unit. I tried to pick up the handset but it was glued on.
This phone has real wood unlike the fake wood grain phones of the 1970s and even the GTE/Fujitsu digital telephones of the 1980s, still in use at Purdue University until 1997.
