Phone of the Day: InterTel 550.8520 Axxess Digital Telephone at a Chicago Research Facility

This Telephone was spotted at an office in Chicago by my wife. It’s an unusual looking Telephone that looks a bit complicated to use. Apparently the line buttons are on the left of the dial pad while the feature buttons are on the right.

InterTel was acquired by Mitel, but Mitel is mostly rolling phone designs out by its other competitor it snatched up, Aastra.

The curve is a nice touch, but why offer a smaller display when you are wasting all that space for plastic.

I am surprised this phone doesn’t have a red message waiting light, only a message on the display saying a message is waiting.
