Straight from a small town Seattle suburb, here is a Nortel T7316E at a QFC grocery checkstand. The company is owned by Kroger and Kroger is a large Nortel client, but rumor has it they are looking to switch over to Cisco.
Their newly acquired friends at Harris Teeter in North Carolina are in for a surprise. At Harris Teeter, there are no telephones at the register. Instead team members use old school microphones to page register requests. I think once Kroger moves in…..a nice T7316E will replace those microphones for a nice even form of consistent paging throughout the stores….just my guess.
