Phone of the Day: Nortel T7316E Digital Telephone

Developed around 1999, the Euro styled T series phones were developed to work on the emerging Enterprise Edge Nortel Key/PBX hybrid systems being introduced around the same time.  The system went on to be called the BCM or Business Communications Manager.  Even though these phones were developed for the new product, they were also backwards compatible on all Norstar systems, even DR1 systems.  The first model was a T7316, but a few years later an E enhanced model was introduced with a dedicated Handsfree button on the lower area of the telephone under the dial pad.  These phones were the replacement for the Norstar digital Meridian M7000 sets.
