Phone of the Day: Cisco 7906 IP set Bank of America Building downtown Chicago

Located in a phone cove at the Bank of America building in Chicago at the former headquarters of Lasalle bank, this Cisco 7906 IP telephone is a simple yet sophisticated telephone. This is the single line set but it does have call waiting capability to accept a second incoming call.

This phone cove is located on the top floor of the building and is in the former location of Marshall Fields residence when he built his own place in downtown Chicago.

I’ve seen this building go through 3 different phone systems, back in 2002 it was a ROLM CBX then in 2005 updated to Avaya and then shortly after in 2008 updated to a whole new Cisco system.
